Our Mission
RAAD works to expand access to addiction treatment and recovery support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.

Why RAAD Exists
Many recovery programs are not designed to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals.
Barriers such as limited ASL-fluent staff, inconsistent interpreter access, and communication gaps make it harder to access and complete treatment.
RAAD was created to address these challenges and improve access to recovery services.
Our Story
RAAD was founded in response to the ongoing gap between the need for recovery support and the accessibility of available programs.
Through research, community insight, and collaboration, RAAD identified key barriers preventing individuals from accessing care and began developing solutions to address them.
Our Values
Access
Everyone deserves access to recovery support in a language they understand.
Respect
Communication and cultural understanding are essential to effective care.
Community
Recovery is strengthened through connection and support.
Equity
Systems should work for everyone, including those historically underserved.
